AVWAP + VWAP Close Backtest Long
Context
After trending for the last few days the focus shifted to backtest longs. During Monday's weekly prep session both a long and short area were mapped out for a local scalp. The long idea was built around a drop into the anchored VWAP from the low, with the VWAP close sitting below as additional personal confluence. The trade was discussed in advance and the level was ready before the week even started.
Setup
Price dropped cleanly into the anchored VWAP zone as anticipated. The VWAP close added an extra layer of confluence for the entry though that specific level was missed on the execution. The anchor held perfectly regardless, giving a textbook backtest reaction in a trending market.
Entry
Long on the anchored VWAP backtest as the level held and the trending structure supported continuation higher.
Exit / Management
The idea ran for 5% from the anchor, a clean result from a level mapped out in advance during the weekly prep session. Missing the tighter VWAP close entry didn't change the outcome, the anchor did its job.
1H OB + Daily Open Resistance Short
Context
A very clean 1H Order Block short setup with two key confluences lining up. The 1H Order Block acting as resistance with an untapped Daily Open sitting inside the same zone. The Daily Open is an important level, many traders build strategies around it and place stops nearby. When price opens and moves away without revisiting it, there's a high probability it comes back to clear that liquidity before continuing. That made the 1H OB and Daily Open combination a high-probability resistance area worth watching closely. Alert set on the level the moment it was identified.
Setup
As price tapped the 1H Order Block, the flow confirmed the read. Positive delta on futures with Open Interest dropping, positions being stopped out rather than new buyers entering. Clear liquidations on aggregated futures. The biggest confirmation came while price ranged inside the OB: spot CVD remained consistently negative throughout, with spot selling continuing to reinforce the bearish bias. The market was telling the story clearly.
Entry
Short entered from the 1H Order Block as spot CVD and liquidations confirmed the rejection.
Exit / Management
Price rejected cleanly from the resistance zone for around a 4% move from entry. Main target was the high-volume area around 62k and position closed there. Stop placed above the 1H Order Block with clear invalidation on any acceptance above the resistance zone.
Previous High Sweep + VWAP Close Short

Context
The plan was mapped out on Monday, short the previous high sweep with the VWAP close sitting above it as the key resistance area. Both levels were marked in advance with alerts set, the only thing left to do was wait for price to arrive.
Setup
Once price came into the zone the aggression was visible, checked on mobile and the flow was there. The entry was missed on the first tap. Rather than chasing, the plan was to wait for bear divs to form and let the setup develop fully. Patience over impulse.
Entry
Short taken after bearish divergences formed at the previous high sweep and VWAP close confluence.
Exit / Management
First profits taken after a 2.2% move with stop moved into profit. Trade ran for a full 5% total, well positioned throughout with local longs and shorts working both sides of the range cleanly. Missing the first entry didn't change the outcome and the level held and the div confirmation gave a high-quality entry regardless.
